Spindle turning! This demonstration focuses on using the spindle gouge for a smooth cut. Beginning with a honey dipper, the demo advances to the French rolling pin.

Let’s turn bud vases and candle sticks! Using kiln dried and greed wood, this demo explores the differences between the woods.
Full day and half day workshops are available. Suitable for all levels.
Three part hollow globe ornament. This method uses a scrap pine 2×4 to create the hollow globe. Two colors of metallic automotive spray paint brings out the pattern in the wood and make the ornament sparkle. Emphasis is on hollowing technique and spindle turning.
Full day and half day workshop is available. Some experience is helpful but not required.
The three legged stool is a great way to practice side grain and end grain turning. The legs can be simple or, using a story stick, modified Windsor style.
Full day workshop is suitable for intermediate and advanced turners.
This demonstration shows how to turn a shallow platter and various ways to embellish it. Using wood that is 8×8×2 inches and a mortise in the bottom, the demo includes methods to prevent breaking through the bottom while hollowing out the platter.
Full day workshop is available and suitable for all levels.
Let’s make tools! This demonstration is for any level. The demonstration runs about 2 hours and includes making the handle, creating the collet for the tool, adding the set screw, and grinding the metal into a negative rake scraper on one end and a point tool on the other.
Full day or half day workshop is available as well.
